Drone inspection of the Versoix bridge
Structure and inspection scope
The project included an image-based inspection of the entire bridge at a spatial resolution of approximately 0.60 mm per pixel, with particular attention given to the underside and other difficult-to-access structural elements.
Inspection methodology
Drone imagery was collected and analysed to produce a 3D model with detailed damage data. The drone-based inspection reduced reliance on under-bridge access platforms and provided a 3D basis for monitoring damage evolution in future inspection.
Inspection results
The detected damage types included cracks, concrete spalling, and rebar exposure. It formed a basis for structural assessment by civil engineers.
