Steel · Noise barrier support
The Federal Roads Office commissioned inspection of two steel truss structures located in Ecuvillens/Posieux. The study focused on monitoring changes in corrosion across the entire steel structure.
Drone images were processed to reconstruct the structures and segment visible corrosion. Corresponding damage areas were compared between campaigns, to identify how corrosion developed over time.
Detected corrosion instances in consecutive inspection campaigns were quantified and localized in a same coordinate system, allowing for growth analysis over time.
